Documents backup setup

Cleanup, zip, and upload ~/Documents to the Drive that does not hold the current backup. Restore picks the newest zip from either account. Backups are always manual.

Google client (one-time)

Create a GCP project named zkit. Keep the old rclone-backup project until you cut over. Remotes stay gdrive-main / gdrive-second.

  1. Enable Google Drive API.
  2. OAuth branding: app name zkit, home https://zkit.zohid.me/docs, privacy https://zkit.zohid.me/privacy, authorized domain zohid.me. Support / developer contact: zohid.marufov@outlook.com.
  3. Scopes: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly.
  4. Audience → Publish → In production.
  5. Desktop client named zkit. Store Client ID and secret in your password manager only.
